Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I was excited to try Lizzano's but let down by order-ahead takeout items. I ordered the Lizzano sandwich which was fine but the bread smelled really strange... maybe it was boxed/in storage for too long? The bread didn't seem all that fresh based on this smell. In addition, I couldn't see nor taste any basil on the sandwich. I also ordered the tiramisu after reading other reviews but my dessert was awful! It consisted of 2 ladyfingers hidden underneath four cups of mascarpone. I took the package out and thought I had accidentally been given a pudding dessert instead of tiramisu. Certainly not worth an almost $25 meal. On the bright side, ordering online went smoothly and my order was ready on time. The staff member was friendly and the space looked clean despite no one else being inside at 12 PM on a Thursday. I like the idea of Lizzano's but the food is extremely underwhelming.

I joked a few days ago about wanting a panini, and then we happened to come across Lizzano while walking back to our hotel. We decided to stop in, and Iβm glad we did. The space was very clean, and you can see the fresh deli ingredients being prepared right in front of you. The guy behind the counter was incredibly helpful and kind. He recommended three different paninis, and we decided to go with the Lizzano. It was our first time trying it, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. My significant other and I only ordered one since we were just trying things, but in hindsight we definitely should have ordered two. I would love to see a location back home in Atlanta. Unforgettable!

Stopped by this small shop while visiting Chicago and had a great experience. The staff greeted us warmly as soon as we walked in, which made the place feel very welcoming. Ordering is simpleβyou can either use the iPad at the entrance or order directly with the cashier. One of the best parts was being able to watch them prepare everything fresh right in front of you using fresh ingredients and bread. The flavors honestly reminded me of Italy. As someone traveling from out of town, it was nice to find a little piece of Italy here in Chicago. I ordered the Lizzano sandwich with a Sicily lemon soda and sea salt potato chips, and everything was delicious. Friendly staff, fresh food, and a great overall experience. Definitely recommend stopping by if youβre in the area!

This Chicago gem just off of N. Michigan Ave might actually have the best sandwiches in the city hands down. I just had the Sicilia, and it is quite possibly the most delicious sandwich I've ever eaten in my 50 years on this Earth. When I say that trust that it holds alot of weight, because I've eaten quite a few! The flavors all blend together in a marriage of amazingness! The pistachio cream, Stracciatella, sun dred tomatoes, arugula, balsamic sauce, sea salt, egg plant, and olive create a combination that I am forever grateful to experience. If you find yourself in the Chi on a trip, or just be blessed to live there, take the time to treat yourself. You will not regret it.

This place is amazing! Super cozy ambiance, great location right next to Millenium Park and the Nutella shop. The sandwich was 10/10. Being from Italy itβs hard to find something authentic, the prosciutto and the stracciatella were sooooo delicious. George was also super nice. I 1000 recommend.
